Bilgi :I first found the French CD on a business trip to France in the late 90's and got the DVD of the Show afterward because I liked it so well. My wife found the show cd in italian when we were in Napoli in 2004.We liked it so well she purchased the DVD.
The singers of both casts are wonderful, but the Italian cast's Esmeralda has the innocence that the lyrics say she is supposed to have. (My wife and I wish the Italians would do the wonderful French musical "Romeo and Juliette" - Arena di Verona is the perfect place to stage that tale.) It is unfortunate the English vesion of Notre Dame de Paris is not released in a complete cast recording or DVD.
