When they recieve word of a 10 year reunion they come to realize their lives aren't as impressive as they'd like them to be. Instead of staying home they go to the reunion with buisness outfits, cell phones, and one heck of a bogus success story.Romy and Michele (Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow) are two ditzy blondes who have been friends for life. With their ten year high school reunion coming up they feel that they need to be successfull. So Michele goes out looking for jobs and Romy looks for boyfriends, to take to the reunion. Neither of them succeed so they go to the reunion pretending to be business women. They say they invented post-its. At the reunion they encounter their old rivals, Christie Masters, Cheryl Quick, and Kelly Possenger, along with Lisa Ludor, But Lisa seems to be on Romy and Michele's side. But then comes Heather Mooney who blows their big lie and lets Christie totally humiliate Romy and Michele. Then comes Michele's Geeky lover from High School. She always hated him in high school, but she doesn't now because he's worth a lot of money. His name is Sandy Frink (better known as the frink-a-zoid).Romy and Michele are two former schoolmates who have also been roommates for ten years after the time they graduated, and their lives are far from successful, they can't even get a date. As the 10-year class reunion approaches they try to do something to make an impression on other former schoolmates and finally decide to act as though they are very rich business women who invented Post-Its.
