One of Greenaway's early short films.Looking out from various windows, Peter Greenaway narrates a series of statistics of casualties related to windows: injuries and deaths, accidents, suicides, misadventures, and a man who thought he could fly.As the camera stares out of windows at various painterly landscapes, Greenaway narrates a list of South African political prisoners alleged by the government to have died in "accidental" falls from windows while in police custody. Greenaway also provides imaginative, invented stories to explain these myriad falls, ranging from suicides to dementia to totally improbable accidents.
